Thanks, interesting, I'd never heard of it before. Not sure it's
something I'll use as I really like the simple (no separate tabs for
social, promo, etc.) with unread emails first. I have filters to mark
any/all things I get regularly, ads, etc. as read so I don't have to
mark 'em read, but can get/find/retrieve them quickly and easily if I
need them.

But I know several folks who might like this much better both for
computer and smarphone.

For those using GMail have you considered or tried moving to Inbox? I like
Inbox much better.

Inbox implements the GTD (Getting Things Done) methodology of emails.
Everything is either "on deck", "snoozed" or "done".

This means my inbox is always empty unless I have something that requires
action.

This means I never miss an email or a follow-up and my mind is not
constantly spinning in tasks that cannot be executed at this time.
