Thanks everyone for attending last evening! I'd glad to see quite a few
people make it through the full cloud build and all the pizza gone!
If you'd like a copy of the presentation, a copy of the install software,
more information about using bare metal servers by the hour, or would like
to join the Slack channel for help with the workshop, you can fill out this
form and we'll get you the information you need.
https://openstacksandiego.wufoo.com/forms/z1lr3wkx1idimmm/
If you didn't make it but still want to walk through on your own, all the
steps are available at:
https://github.com/OpenStackSanDiego/openstack-fuel-virtualbox-packet
We'll get another event with KPLUG setup next quarter. In the meantime,
free to join us for the OpenStack 7th Birthday next month.

Hi everyone!
This Wednesday (June 28th) is our session on building a private cloud
using open-source tools. There are a few steps you'll need to do to
prepare. If you wish to install on your own laptop, you'll need 10+GB of
RAM and 300 GB of disk space OR you can sign up for a server to use. We
have 64 servers reserved for this lab but you must sign up beforehand. For
simplicity and speed of install, I recommend signing up for a server.
Sign up at www.packet.net and use code SDOPENSTACK. You'll need to
provide a credit card or PayPal account to get the $25 in free credit. This
is enough credit to run the lab for almost three days. You'll want to do
this before the meetup.

Regardless of whether you are installing on your own laptop or a remote
server, you'll need an SSH client, a web browser, and cygwin. You can
download PuTTY, an SSH client for Windows at (install the full package with
putty and puttygen).

If you are using your own laptop, download VirtualBox and Cygwin
beforehand to save time.
