If any of you are interested in diving deeper into the technology
Brian talked about, his presentation was really on the core technology
being developed and to play with that you'll need licenses for SLES
and CaaS (Containers as a Service).
If you want to start playing with what is free,
Much of the technology is available on the openSUSE Tumbleweed distro,
named "Kubic"
There was a big, rather significant announcement on Kubic published
earlier this week,
https://news.opensuse.org/2018/08/09/opensuse-kubic-moves-in-a-new-direction/
The latest Kubic installation ISO can be downloaded from the following page
https://download.opensuse.org/tumbleweed/iso/
Documentation right now is thin to non-existent, particularly for Kubic.
You're advised to read up on as much as you can about the SUSE
version, CaaS and then try to apply to Kubic.
If you have additional questions or want to discuss anything related
to Kubic, you can post to this mail list or the openSUSE
Virtualization Forum (which also covers isolation technologies like
Linux containers)
